Queen Mary University

Queen Mary University is based in the popular and trendy area of East London. Less than a five minute walk from Mile End tube station in Zone 2. The modern campus lies next to Regents Canal with en-suite accommodation and several nearby shops.

Academics

  • English Levels: Elementary (A2) - Advanced (C2).

  • Class Size: Maximum 17 students per class.

  • Number of hours tuition per week: 15 hours.

  • Placement test: On first day or online prior to arrival.

 

NB: We occasionally receive requests for students outside of our minimum/maximum age range who wish to come as part of a group. We review each of these special requests individually and undertake a risk assessment to ensure it will not negatively affect the safeguarding and welfare of anyone in our centres. Final decisions will be made by the Designated Safeguarding Lead and the Admissions Team will notify the requesting party of the outcome.

Other

All facilities are on the main campus, accommodation, catering and classrooms. There is a large sports hall available along with communal areas for activities. 

Computer Access 

WiFi is available throughout the campus, including the accommodation.

Laundry

Bedrooms are cleaned weekly including a change bed of linen. Towels are provided. Additional laundry facilities are available from 0800-22.30 daily. Laundry services operate using a pre-paid card and cost between £6 & £7 per wash/dry.

Your programme includes a number of excursions, but you will also have lots of time to explore London either by yourself or with your friends. Lots of people think London is a very expensive city but it really doesn’t have to be! There are a huge number of memorable places to visit and things to see that you can do cheaply or completely for free.
