Excursions

At Greenwich International Education we believe that the learning doesn’t stop when children leave their classroom. We run full and half-day excursions where students can see and learn more about the UK. As all students prepare a presentation for the end of their course they will be encouraged by their teachers and activity leaders to use the things they have done and places they have seen in the presentation which helps motivate every child into getting the most out of every place they visit when on an excursion. From discovering all that London has to offer to visiting the famous university cities of Oxford or Cambridge to exploring the British seaside of Brighton there is so much to do and see.

Activities & Staff

Our activity programme is a vital part of a child’s experience on a camp. Every activity is designed to get every student speaking with each other, enjoying themselves and practising their English in a fun way. From sports to quizzes, karaoke, talent shows and discos, no student at Greenwich International Education ever complains they are bored or have nothing to do!

We recruit activity staff who are trained in safeguarding and how to lead and inspire young learners at Greenwich International Education. The co-founders of Greenwich International Education have more than 60 years experience in running junior courses and we have put all that knowledge into every part of what we do – providing a quality education in a safe and secure environment that is packed with fun excursions, lively activities and a life changing experience for young learners of English.

We provide support 24/7 during every student’s stay. From the moment a student arrives until they leave we provide a personalised experience. Our team are always available to help and every student receives an emergency number that can be reached any time of the day or night.

Each site has a permanent team of a Centre Manager, Director of Studies, Activity Manager and a Welfare Officer. We then have Teachers on a ratio of 1:15 and Activity Leaders on a ratio of 1:20.

Meals

Food is an important part of each and every day. Our students are well catered for from a culinary point of view. We liaise with catering teams in each location and agree all menus. Menus vary slightly from each location but they all offer a variety of healthy meals. We are also able to accommodate any dietary requirements students have, as long as you let us know in advance.

Every meal is in a canteen (except for packed lunches at weekends) where there is variety of options to choose from and students are able to get their UK government recommended five portions of fruit and vegetable per day
