Peter Shannon
Managing Director
Peter has over 20 years' experience in the EFL industry. Having started at the bottom in 1998 and pretty much done every job within the language school environment, he is delighted to be part of this new and exciting project. His vast experience will help GIE build and expand its provision of Online Courses, High Programmes and YL programmes in the UK and US. Watch out 2021 we're coming to get you!
Alex Brown
Operations Director
Alex and his wife founded their own language school in Brazil in 2008. Since 2014 Alex has been managing Operations teams that are responsible for all the planning and smooth running of High School programmes in the UK and Ireland along with Summer Camps for juniors in nine locations throughout the UK.
Andy Cossey
Academic Director
Andy has 25 years’ experience in English language teaching and management.
Andy has been an Academic Director and Principal of accredited centres in the UK as well as being a Cambridge teacher trainer who has taught extensively in Europe and Asia. Andy prepares all the academic and learning goals for every programme, develops each syllabus and recruits, trains and develops all our teaching team.
Callum Palmer
Global Sales Director
Callum has worked within the EFL industry for over 10 years. His experience in operational roles, as well as the last 8 years in sales and business development, has given Callum a great understanding of global EFL markets and sales strategy. Callum has specialised in sales for junior summer camps, year-round groups, and high school year abroad programmes.

Sandra Herrero
Business Development Manager
Sandra started in the industry placing international students in language schools across Europe, USA, Canada and Oceania before moving to a larger position and also focusing on Ministay programmes, Summer Camps and Group programmes. She brings her experience working in marketing and sales with key markets in the international education industry. Sandra will play an important role in GIE's global growth trajectory and help new learners take part in GIE's UK summer camps and High School programmes.

Vitor Berardo
Business Development Manager
Vítor has a long experience in the international education sector and joins GIE as Business Development Manager. With more than seven years’ experience, he worked with some of the biggest and most prestigious Brazilian exchange agencies. With various responsibilities in several departments, he has experience and extensive knowledge in sales, product development and understanding of operational processes, including B2B and B2C business development. During this period, he worked with several products in the international education market, such as language courses, higher education, high school, and summer programs.
Shameck Pio
Operations Manager
Shameck has long experience within the language school sector. Worked in diverse roles managing and promoting junior summer camps and year-round groups across the UK. As a part of Operations Team is responsible for planning, recruitment and ensuring the seamless execution of language programs.

Ellie Palmer
High School Coordinator
Ellie is responsible for overseeing all facets of the High School Programme's operations and production. Her remarkable wealth of knowledge and experience makes her an ideal fit for the position. Ellie completed her Undergraduate and Master’s degree in language and linguistics at the University of Brighton and has gained extensive experience in the TEFL industry, further enhancing her expertise.
Yifan Hou
Marketing Executive
Yifan pursued a Master's degree in International Marketing, where she honed her expertise in marketing strategy and digital marketing. Her professional journey is marked by notable experience in marketing and sales in the luxury watch industry. Additionally, her experience at a creative agency enriched her ability to orchestrate successful brand launch campaigns and develop impactful branding strategies. Yifan's unique blend of academic knowledge and diverse industry experience positions her as a valuable asset to the GIE team.

Victoria Leach
Social Media & Marketing Executive
Victoria studied at the AAA School of Advertising in Cape Town and has since then gained extensive experience in graphic design and marketing.
As a sole graphic designer and a freelance designer since 2019, Victoria has honed her skills in creating eye-catching designs and visuals for various clients. Her experience has given her a deep understanding of the importance of visual communication in marketing.Victoria is also well-versed in social media marketing and content creation. She has a keen eye for detail and a passion for storytelling, making her an excellent fit for our team.
Danni Zhu
Director of Operations -
China
Having been a high school exchange student herself, Danni is passionate about promoting language and culture travel in youth. With 10 years’ experience working in the industry, her expertise is in developing new programmes and destinations. She appeared in a Beijing Television documentary to showcase the lives of young exchange students and is regularly invited as a guest on various talk shows/radio programmes to share her insights on language and culture travel.
Colin Zhou
Director of Relations - China
With more than 10 years industry experience, Colin has cultivated a close relationship with various stakeholders in the field of language travel. Having had multiple roles from operations to sales, Colin is excited to join the team at GIE in his new position as the Partner Relations Director. He believes language skills along with cross culture understanding not only opens doors for today’s youth but also promotes world peace.
